Mesa, AZ (January 4, 2020) – Officials from the Mesa Fire Department said that one person was seriously hurt after being pulled from a burning car following a crash near Pasadena Avenue and 6th Avenue on Saturday.
Rescue units from Mesa Fire were on the scene, and firefighters say that one person was pulled from a vehicle that caught fire on impact after reportedly rolling over. That person was taken to the hospital via ambulance in stable condition. There was one other vehicle involved, though that driver’s condition is not known.
Mesa Police believes alcohol played a factor in the crash, but the accident remains under investigation at this time.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a quick recovery.
In one year alone, more than 36,000 car accidents occurred in Arizona. These wrecks led to nearly 55,000 total injuries or hospitalizations in 2018. Those injured in these serious incidents are frequently affected for months or even years after the initial accident. In fact, victims often experience long-term mental and physical distress, especially when they’re involved in an accident caused by another driver’s negligence.
When an accident occurs through no fault of their own, victims are forced to negotiate with insurance companies, cover expensive medical treatment, and deal with lost wages while they recover. Victims and their families can seek help from a personal injury lawyer. In some cases, a skilled attorney can seek justice and the fair compensation victims deserve from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
