Mesa, AZ – Fatal Car Crash Leaves 1 Dead & 2 Injured at Baseline Rd

Mesa, AZ (September 20, 2019) – Officials from the Mesa Police Department are investigating a fatal accident that occurred Thursday afternoon that left one man dead and two others injured.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. at Sossaman Road and Baseline Road. Mesa Fire officials say that three people were involved in the accident. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were transported to an area hospital with minor or moderate injuries.

Officers from the Mesa Police Department believe that the deceased driver, a 40-year-old man who collided with a dump truck in his tan SUV, had some sort of medical issue that potentially caused the wreck. Authorities don’t believe impairment is a factor but are still investigating the accident at this time.

We would like to offer our condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of a full recovery.

Fatal Multi-Car Accidents in Arizona

According to data released by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, nearly 130,000 crashes occurred in Arizona last year alone. Nearly 11,000 of these wrecks involved more than two drivers.

After these serious automobile incidents, victims may have to deal with other drivers’ insurance companies, physical distress, emotional trauma, and financial difficulties. However, the victims and their families affected by these wrecks can seek help from an attorney. A skilled attorney can help victims seek the justice and fair compensation they deserve from a personal injury suit or wrongful death suit.
