Mesa, AZ (June 22, 2019) – On June 22nd, an early morning auto accident caused State Route 87 to close in both directions at milepost 258.

The auto accident occurred just before 1:44 a.m. around W. East Verdes Estates Road. It is unclear how many vehicles were involved at this time, and the conditions of the drivers have not been released. Investigators were on the scene to determine the cause of the crash. Both lanes reopened at 7:28 a.m.
