Mesa, AZ – Crash Blocks Several Lanes on L-202 at Lindsay Rd

Mesa, AZ (July 27, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident late Saturday evening, July 27th, backed up traffic and blocked several lanes of L-202.

Authorities were on the scene of the injury accident around 10:48 p.m., which occurred when at least two vehicles collided on L-202 westbound, also known as the Red Mountain Freeway, at Lindsay Road. Police and fire rescue units responded in order to assist victims and investigate the cause of the multi-vehicle wreck.

All lanes reopened several hours later, though traffic remained slow on the affected stretch of highway into the early morning hours. The drivers’ information, as well as their conditions, have not been released.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recoveries.

Multi-Vehicle Crashes in Arizona

According to information from the Arizona Department of Transportation, nearly 55,000 accidents and more than 35,000 injuries occurred from crashes in 2018 alone, part of a year-over-year increase in serious accidents. And there’s more traffic on Arizona highways now that summer is here, leading to a greater danger of these hazardous wrecks.

Long-term injuries, costly medical bills, and even job loss may befall victims and their families after an accident. But victims and their families affected by these serious incidents can contact a Phoenix accident lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek justice from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
