Mesa, AZ (August 11, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident on Sunday evening, August 11th, blocked the right lane of the Kyrene Road off-ramp on Loop 202.
Officials on the scene say that the car crash occurred just before 7:00 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles, which collided in the Kyrene off-ramp of L-202 westbound, also known as the Santan Freeway. Police and fire rescue units were at the site of the accident, assisting injured victims and investigating the cause of the crash. However, the drivers’ information and their current conditions have not been released at this time.
All lanes were cleared by 7:40 p.m.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recoveries.
The latest crash data released by the Arizona Department of Transportation shows that more than 35,000 auto accident injuries occurred across the state in 2018. And of the nearly 55,000 total car accidents in Arizona last year, more than half involved more than two injured victims and several vehicles.
Costly medical bills, long-term injuries, and job loss or even death may plague victims and their families after a serious crash. But those affected by these accidents can contact a Phoenix accident lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek compensation and justice from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
