Maricopa, AZ (January 22, 2020) – Maricopa police are investigating a deadly crash involving a man who fell from a van late Wednesday night.

According to officers from the Maricopa Police Department, the victim reportedly fell from a vehicle on Smith Enke Road near John Wayne Parkway. After falling from the van, the man was hit by another car and was killed.

Officials say the car that struck the man did not stay on the scene. Police describe the vehicle that hit the man as a dark-colored sedan.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
