Littlefield, AZ (October 17, 2019) – Police have confirmed that a rollover accident took place last evening around 6 p.m. involving a pickup truck with a trailer in Littlefield.
The crash took place near the Nevada border and temporarily blocked the southbound lanes of the highway. The accident occurred when the driver of the pickup truck, which was attached to a trailer, lost control of the vehicle and rolled it on the stretch of road toward Nevada.
Police have confirmed that there were two men in the pickup truck at the time and a woman in the trailer. The force of the roll caused severe damages to the vehicle and trailer. Fire crews had to work diligently to remove the woman from the trailer. She was allegedly extricated through a window and taken to the hospital via ambulance.
The two men refused hospital transport. Police said that those involved were incredibly lucky due to the severe damages to the vehicle.
The roadway was blocked for some time. At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and her family in hopes of a full recovery.
Though rollovers only take place in approximately 2% of car accidents, they are among some of the most injurious and deadly based on the force of these accidents. In just one recent year, over 36,000 accidents in total took place on Arizona roads, causing serious results to those involved. If you have been injured in an accident due to the negligence of another party, you might suffer from long-term mental and physical stress as well as financial turmoil you are unable to handle on your own.
