Golden Valley, AZ (January 31, 2020) – A 9-year-old boy who was initially reported missing in Golden Valley has been found dead after an apparent off-roading accident.
Officials said that the boy was found dead by Mohave County Sheriff’s Office authorities on Thursday. The Sheriff’s Office said that they had received word at around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday that the boy had last been seen around noon on a dark green 1996 Yamaha 600 all-terrain vehicle.
Searchers canvassed the area and found the boy in a wash near Estrella Road and Chino Drive around 9:15 p.m. that night. They say that the all-terrain vehicle was located nearby.
Medical personnel attempted CPR and other life-saving measures, but the child was ultimately declared dead on the scene. Officers state that an investigation into the boy’s death is still ongoing.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the deceased victim.
