Gold Canyon, AZ (April 14, 2020) – A two-car accident closed westbound US 60 past Superstition Mountain Drive on Tuesday evening and resulted in at least one serious injury.

According to authorities on the scene, the crash occurred when at least two vehicles collided in the center lanes of US 60 westbound, also known as the Superstition Freeway, past the Superstition Mountain exit around 11:30 p.m. First responders arrived at the scene of the accident to assist injured victims, though they’re still working to determine the cause of the collision. It appears that two sedans were involved in a serious rear-end collision and both sustained extensive vehicle damage.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
