Glendale, AZ (January 11, 2020) – Police are searching for a driver that allegedly hit two people and fled the scene of the accident on Saturday evening in the area of 51st Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

According to officers from the Glendale Police Department, a man and a 17-year-old girl were hit mid-block on Glendale Avenue. Both were taken to a local area hospital via ambulance. Authorities say that the teen is expected to survive but added that the man has life-threatening injuries.

Police don’t have a good description of the suspect vehicle but believe the vehicle was an SUV or truck.

Glendale Avenue was closed from 51st Avenue to 47th Avenue while the investigation was underway.
