Gilbert, AZ (January 2, 2020) – Officers from the Gilbert Police Department say that at least two people were hurt in a two-car crash in Gilbert on Thursday night.

According to local rescue units, firefighters were dispatched to the scene near the Val Vista Road off-ramp and Loop 202 westbound, also known as the Santan Freeway, around 8:30 p.m. Gilbert firefighters originally reported that several people were hurt. However, Gilbert police say only one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and another person was treated at the scene.

The cause of the collision is under investigation, and the victims’ information has not been released at this time.
