Cordes Lakes, AZ (April 11, 2020) – A multi-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon caused backups and minor injuries on Interstate 17, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The crash occurred on I-17 near Cordes Lakes around 5:30 p.m., near milepost 270 and State Route 69. Authorities say that the wreck temporarily blocked multiple southbound lanes of I-17 but was later cleared. It appears at least one person was treated for a minor injury and taken to a local area hospital.

The victim’s information and their current condition have not been released, but officers say that the accident remains under investigation.
