Chandler, AZ (December 27, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash near Interstate 10 and Loop 202 in Chandler resulted in at least one serious injury on Friday evening.
According to a report from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, two sedans were involved in the collision on eastbound Interstate 10 around 9:00 p.m. DPS officials said that paramedics arrived on the scene and transported at least one victim to the hospital, though that victim’s information and the extent of their injuries have not been released.
The Chandler Police Department is still investigating and has not released the victims’ current condition. The accident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a quick recovery.
According to a study from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Arizona is one of the top five most dangerous states in the country for drivers. Fatalities and injuries are especially prevalent during the summer months. The study, which tracked injuries and fatalities between May and September, reported that Interstate 10 had 100 fatalities during that time.
It’s clear that these serious incidents are an unfortunate reality of life in Arizona. Those who sustain crash injuries go through physical and emotional trauma, having to document their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies, and even take time from work or deal with job loss. But individuals who are affected can seek help from a personal injury lawyer, especially if they’ve been involved in an accident that’s caused by the negligent actions of another driver.
