Chandler, AZ (January 14, 2020) – A two-car crash sent at least one person to the hospital on Tuesday evening in Chandler.
According to a report from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a sedan rear-ended an SUV in the right lanes of traffic, causing a chain-reaction collision on the Loop 202 Santan near Cooper Road around 8:30 p.m. DPS officials said that medical units arrived on the scene shortly after the crash occurred and transported at least one person to a local area hospital.
The Chandler Police Department is still investigating the cause of the crash and has not released the victims’ current conditions.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time.
Arizona is one of the top five most dangerous states in the country for drivers, according to a report by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The research, which recorded injuries and deaths between May and September, found that there were 100 fatalities on just one state highway in this period.
These serious incidents are an unfortunate reality of life in Arizona. Those who sustain crash injuries go through physical and emotional trauma, having to document their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies, and even take time from work or deal with job loss. But individuals who are affected can seek help from a personal injury lawyer, especially if they’ve been involved in an accident that’s caused by the negligent actions of another driver.
