Avondale, AZ (October 27, 2019) – A 3-year-old child is in serious condition following a two-car collision in the West Valley.

The accident happened around 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, near Avondale Boulevard and Broadway Road. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, a woman was driving westbound on Broadway Road when her car collided with another car traveling northbound on Avondale Boulevard. Deputies say the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, but the child riding in her vehicle was seriously injured. Local paramedics arrived on the scene to transport the child to an area hospital via ambulance.

The man driving the other car received only minor injuries, deputies say. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
